About me

"Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because they were able to connect experiences they've had and synthesize new things." - Steve Jobs

What I Do

Skills

A few examples of my strongest skill sets are in the following areas.

  • Communication
  • Integrity
  • Enthusiasm
  • Team Building

Project Management

I have a working understanding of the fundamentals of Project Management. I feel that the success of my past involvement in events and festivals are directly attributed to my implementation of research, initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing those specific milestones.

In a perfect world, projects would be delivered on time, under budget and with no major problems or obstacles to overcome. It should be no surprise that unfortunate obstacles do happen at times.  I continuously work at being an unflappable leader that will take on problems should they arise.

Event Management

I have been very fortunate to have learned from the best in the event industry. From the planning, executing and evaluating social, corporate and non-profit events under my belt, I have a proven history of turning a client's vision into successful end results. Looking for your next candidate who can handle events from 100  people to over 20,000, I am no stranger to the obstacles that are involved with managing events of various sizes.

Graphic Design

Having an eye for visual aesthetics is key to captivating someone attention. Being proficient in graphic design, specifically communication design is the ability to see past the wants and establish true requirements. Among the obvious benefits to having a background in graphic design is the ability to quickly and creatively present alternatives to unforeseen issues. Finding beauty in even the darkest of creations is one of my favorite past times.

"Graphic design is creative and requires human-led intelligence and ideas to respond to trends, tastes and what has already been before." - unknown

Web Development

One of my favorite hobbies is examining websites and see what makes "us" like them. From that hobby, my fascination with WordPress was born. I have built more than 10 websites and have enjoyed the process of being able to manipulate how a site is viewed and interacts with those viewers. My understanding of web design and development has further led me to the art of the users' experience.

How I’m Feeling, as a Black Man

Reading Time: 4 minutes How I’m Feeling, as a Black Man Thursday, June 7th should have been a beautiful day. It was a warm 80 degrees outside in Los Angeles. Given what was going on in the world, I took the morning for myself and made an iced latte. I stepped outside and man, for a moment, the sun […]
